- Conceived in NYU student housing, born in a suburb of Detroit. Bred in the Bay… Lafayette, San Jose, Santa Clara, Berkeley, SF. Turned NYC head by 1996, East Coast legend and Skateboarding OG Spencer Fujimoto ( @spencerfujimoto ) with a nollie half cab heel or an alley-oop nollie heel over the planter at the Brooklyn Banks back in the summer of 1997. I gotta give a huge thanks to you brother, thank you for taking the time and sharing with all of us such important history. i was blown away by reading this and still am. Thanks man.

it’s a Sammy Glucksman pic… ( @sdj ) honestly I have no memory, nothing from that day… that was one of my warm up tricks there… all I can remember is I loved those sneakers, an rocked the shit out of those DC shorts that summer…it looks like a hot & humid day for sure…
